Friday 10th July

Friday 10th July (Miss Day)

Well here we are on the penultimate Friday before we break up for the Summer hols and all you lovely lot move on to Year 4! I am so sad that it all ended so strangely and got cut so short. sad

I really hope you all have had a good week. Again, it has been great to talk to some of you over the course of week and hear all the fantastic things you have been up to. Emma has been working really hard on lots of homeschooling and sent me a copy of her poem she had written - it was brilliant! Rafin has been as conscientious as ever in trying his hardest with all his home school work - especially enjoying maths. Stephanie sent me a lovely email to let me know all things she has been up to and she has been working hard at her Grandma and Grandad's as well as playing with their dog! However, a special mention must go to Lily! It was lovely to chat to Lily and her family, to hear about everything she has been up to: making 'jet packs' fuelled by sweeties, picking up a new puppy, Monty, but most impressively Lily was excited to share her news that she had achieved 2nd Place in the Stockport Shapes 'Give me 5' Challenge. Quite rightly, Lily was so proud of herself because she had decided to take on the PE challenge that was mentioned on the school website a few weeks ago, and out of ALL the Year 3s in Stockport - Lily came 2nd! Well done Lily! What an achievement!

This week we have some Maths challenge booklets for you to try. If you click on the links it should take you to the challenge book. There are answer books too to help with the marking. I have included the links for Year 4 too, in case anyone wanted to try the next year group as a challenge.
